**What it is.** Jesse Vincent's agentic skills framework: a small set of composable skills that encode a full development loop (brainstorming, writing plans, executing plans, TDD, systematic debugging, verification before completion, subagent-driven development, using git worktrees, finishing a branch), and the mechanism that makes an agent find and use skills automatically. Widely recommended (yanhua1010 calls it the best-reviewed skill collection). Use it as the methodology layer under task-specific skills.

## Install

- Claude Code: `/plugin marketplace add obra/superpowers-marketplace` then `/plugin install superpowers@superpowers-marketplace`.
- Other agents: `npx skills add obra/superpowers`, or copy `skills/` into your skills directory.

## Skills

- **brainstorming** — You MUST use this before any creative work - creating features, building components, adding functionality, or modifying behavior. Explores user intent, requirements and design before implementation. ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/brainstorming/SKILL.md))
- **dispatching-parallel-agents** — Use when facing 2+ independent tasks that can be worked on without shared state or sequential dependencies ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/dispatching-parallel-agents/SKILL.md))
- **executing-plans** — Use when you have a written implementation plan to execute in a separate session with review checkpoints ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/executing-plans/SKILL.md))
- **finishing-a-development-branch** — Use when implementation is complete, all tests pass, and you need to decide how to integrate the work ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/finishing-a-development-branch/SKILL.md))
- **receiving-code-review** — Use when receiving code review feedback, before implementing suggestions, especially if feedback seems unclear or technically questionable - requires technical rigor and verification, not... ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/receiving-code-review/SKILL.md))
- **requesting-code-review** — Use when completing tasks, implementing major features, or before merging to verify work meets requirements ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/requesting-code-review/SKILL.md))
- **subagent-driven-development** — Use when executing implementation plans with independent tasks in the current session ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/subagent-driven-development/SKILL.md))
- **systematic-debugging** — Use when encountering any bug, test failure, or unexpected behavior, before proposing fixes ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/systematic-debugging/SKILL.md))
- **test-driven-development** — Use when implementing any feature or bugfix, before writing implementation code ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/test-driven-development/SKILL.md))
- **using-git-worktrees** — Use when starting feature work that needs isolation from current workspace or before executing implementation plans - ensures an isolated workspace exists via native tools or git worktree fallback ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/using-git-worktrees/SKILL.md))
- **using-superpowers** — Use when starting any conversation - establishes how to find and use skills, requiring skill invocation before ANY response including clarifying questions ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/using-superpowers/SKILL.md))
- **verification-before-completion** — Use when about to claim work is complete, fixed, or passing, before committing or creating PRs - requires running verification commands and confirming output before making any success claims;... ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/verification-before-completion/SKILL.md))
- **writing-plans** — Use when you have a spec or requirements for a multi-step task, before touching code ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/writing-plans/SKILL.md))
- **writing-skills** — Use when creating new skills, editing existing skills, or verifying skills work before deployment ([SKILL.md](https://github.com/obra/superpowers/blob/HEAD/skills/writing-skills/SKILL.md))
