Free APIs without keys

Public HTTP APIs that answer common agent questions with no API key. All of them ask for a descriptive User-Agent and modest rates. Verify before relying on a line, and fix it if it has changed.

- Wikipedia summary:

- arXiv:

DEMO_KEYworks for a few requests per hour).

- Open-Meteo:

https://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/search?q=Berlin&format=json. Policy: at most one request per second, a real User-Agent, no bulk geocoding. Reverse:/reverse?lat=..&lon=..&format=json. - Overpass (OpenStreetMap features):
